1949 ICU Founded in Gotemba
1952 ICU Dedication Ceremony - Mitaka Campus
1954 ICU Church Dedicated
ICU Church is located in the center of the ICU Campus - a forested 156 acre area in West Tokyo. The University Chapel has a seating capacity of 720. The organ (built by Rieger-Organs of Austria) was installed in 1970.

ICU CHURCH DECLARATION OF FAITH
We believe in God the Father Almighty, and in His Son Jesus Christ. We accept the revelation of God in Jesus Christ and His way of life as God's purpose for man. We believe in the guidance of the Holy Spirit in and through the Scriptures, and as mediated in the experiences of God's people. We believe in the Kingdom of God as proclaimed by Jesus to be the true destiny of humanity and the world. We believe in the Communion of His followers, and in their responsibility for the furtherance and expansion of His kingdom upon earth. (Adopted at the founding of this church, 1954)

PURPOSE OF ICU CHURCH (as noted in the provisions and by-laws)
The purposes of this Church are: first, to create an all inclusive Christian fellowship of those who sincerely endeavor to know and serve God; second, to enhance the religious life and educational goals of the International Christian University; and third to extend the Christian ministry to all persons in the Spirit of Christ.
